I. Guild Description

Asa Tru is a guild of High Honor. Asa Tru is a guild that raids, not a raiding guild.  As a member of this guild, your loyalties are required
to have this obligation. Asa Tru has determined that the enjoyment of

roaming the lands of Azeroth be the Number One (#1) priority. We are here to build one of, if not, THE Best guild in the lands. This guild provides friendship, loyalty and protection. In general, Asa Tru is here
for you, and all other members. To betray any one member is to betray the entire guild. If an outsider attacks you, you shall have the entire guild standing beside you. There is no tolerance for breaking the rules
stated below. There is, also, no tolerance for treachery or lack of self-discipline. Be brave and honorable and the guild will flourish, as will all of the members who support it.

II. Malicious Conduct

A. Theft: Asa-Tru members will not steal (Ninja Loot) under any circumstances. If your actions are under suspicion, the officers will investigate them and act appropriately.

B. Deceptions and Falsehoods: An Asa Tru member will not promote lies, cheats, "Bug Usage" or insults, in the lands of Azeroth. If your actions are under suspicion, the officers will investigate them and act appropriately.

C. Player Killing: Intentionally training aggressive monsters or NPC''s upon another player, no matter what the circumstances, is considered Player-Killing. If you are caught doing it, you will be banished from the Guild. If there is a question as to whether or not you did so, intentionally or not, you will be questioned by the officers, as will all parties involved. If you admit to doing this, you will be asked to leave the Guild of your own accord, or will be removed by one of the Officers.

D. Betrayal: Any Asa Tru member who is charged with betraying the Guild, attempts to subvert the Guild, loses faith in Asa Tru and applies to another guild, or, in any way attempts to break down the morale structure or morale of the guild, etc., will, immediately, go before a review by the Officers. If found guilty of the said charges, they, and all other alternates they may have will be removed from the guild at once. Anyone found to be supporting a person in the same fashion would be brought for review as well.

E. Guild Dropping: On more than one occasion, members have left the guild, and later, decided that they made a mistake and wanted to rejoin the guild again. If you do this one time, you will be reconsidered for membership one more time. Any member who leaves the guild a second time forfeits their right to membership from that time forward. The lack of faith, duty, trust, loyalty and other issues arising from such actions make it impossible for us to include you once again in the ASA-TRU family. If you choose to leave our family, you must face the consequences. Think before you react. We all work hard at making a family atmosphere. Remember that we all have good and bad days. If you are having a bad day, log off and think and relax. What you add to the Asa Tru family is as important as what you take out of it should you leave. Talking of leaving the guild, frequently, is just as bad as actually leaving the guild. Talk of leaving the guild or game, on a consistent and frequent basis, is demoralizing and will be dealt with on an individual basis.  Please note that Asa-Tru does not allow multi-guilding except for roleplay purposes. In other words applicants and members are not to have toons in other guilds except for roleplay.

Why is this Asa-Tru's policy? Because Asa-Tru is an end point. A stopping point. We are not a way station to an "uber" guild. We are not here to level and gear people up so they can move on. Asa-Tru provides a specific environment for a particular kind of person. Friendship, Loyalty, Self Reliance and Fun are our four founding tenants and Friendship and Loyalty only come through dedication.

F. General Dishonorable Conduct: Conduct unbecoming of an Asa Tru member will be investigated by the Officers. Examples include (but are not limited to): a) verbally attacking or abusing Asa-Tru members or other players, b) defiance of the rules of Asa-Tru on a consistent basis, c) openly criticizing the rules of Asa-Tru or its officers. If you have an issue, take it up with an officer.  See G.

G.  Any officer or member who abuses, attacks or flames another member of the guild will immediately be demoted to the rank of initiate and will once again need to go through the 1 month process before being promoted to Warder.  Any similar action in the future, regardless of rank, will be cause for immediate removal from the guild.

H. Language: Most of us are adults, however there will be times that we either have members who are not adults or adults who have children watching or playing for or with their parents. For this reason, I ask that people do their best to not swear in guildchat. I know there will be times that people goof, and this is ok. However, if there is a pattern of language policy abuse, the issue will be dealt with. Also please consider the content of your discussion not just the language there in. Maybe you aren't or you don't have a child playing or watching, but others do. If not for yourself, please be civil and clean with your content and language on their behalf.
Thank you!

III. Discipline

The breaking of every rule has its consequences. There are circumstances that will follow the associated breach of conduct.

A. Three Strike Rule: Each Asa Tru member gets three strikes. Your behaviors and actions will dictate if you get a strike. Violation of any of the guild by-laws listed herein can prompt an Officer to give a member a strike. The severity of one’s actions can bring about a more severe sentence, such as two strikes for one action, or summary dismissal from the Guild. As certain offenses do not necessarily warrant a strike, a verbal warning may be issued. The officers will monitor strikes and after 2 strikes; a person will be put on probation for a minimum period of two weeks. If, during that time, the person brings dishonor to him/herself or the guild, or breaks another by-law, they will be removed from the guild with their third strike. After a period of one month of "good" behavior, one strike against an individual can be removed. Exceptional deeds can also prompt the removal of a strike based on the decision of the Officers. You cannot build up good deeds and "bank" them to wipe out negative deeds as they appear.

B. Initiates: Initiates can be removed from the guild at any time during their probationary period, for any reason, whatsoever. Asa Tru is a guild of high honor, and one that is strict in its rules; therefore, we will attempt to weed out those that would tarnish the guild name before they have a chance to do so. If you have a problem with this, then you may wish to consider whether Asa Tru is the guild you want to join.

IV. Honorable Conduct

If there are punishments, then there should be rewards, correct? Well, that is what this section is about. A display of honor, integrity or other action deemed extraordinary by the Officers, or the Guild in general, will result in Rewards for Honorable Conduct. Recognition for excellence in helping members of Asa Tru or other players outside the guild or other actions deemed above and beyond the call of duty will bring about recognition of a player. Recognition of actions by others inside or outside the guild, and passed along to the leadership of Asa Tru, will bring out this recognition. (*Note: Do not ask them to contact us, they must do this of their own accord.) Rewards are not implemented yet for WoW.

V. The Guild

A. Membership: All members can and are encouraged to suggest people to apply to become members of Asa Tru. All hopeful members must contact a Sentinel for interview/questioning. All applicants must be of level 10 or higher, must have read and understand our charter, rank structure, and know who is the Guild Leader of Asa-Tru.  Real Life Friends and Family are exempt from the usual recruitment process and can be guilded within a few days of contacting an officer.  We do ask that they /join ATRecruiting channel so we can get to know one another.  They must also register for these boards and read the charter.

B. Application Process: Please contact an officer to learn how to become a member of Asa-Tru.

C. Support: If a person is in need of a specific event, item, spell, level or anything else, they should ask the guild for support. The Guild is meant to function as one body. Higher-Level character members should take it upon themselves to help newer or lower level members, as appropriate. Lower level characters should not abuse this privilege nor ask for it too often. Also, contact your class Captain to coordinate helping you. This is what they are there for. You may also try to find other members or people to group with that you feel good about hunting with. Those people may make good members in the future if they are not members already.
